Virgo to a ‘t’

Tittle – the dot of an ‘i’ or the cross of a ‘t’. Down to a ‘t’ originates from the ‘t’ in the tittle, meaning every little point. (Dent and Brandreth, 2021)

Affirmation, Like it or lump it but I am also a fellow Virgo like Adrienne, I really appreciated her honesty, I think this is really important in life and supports intentional adaption and growth, constantly reflecting and improving. Hearing constructive criticism (not always easy to hear). Being real and surrounding yourself with team players, mentors, facilitators aids to create that flat hierarchy. Learning not to react but adapt I think was the most powerful message I got from Adrienne’s interview.

Corona culture shock: crisis or transformation?

One quote that provoked/inspired/connected/interrupted me

“If we have the courage during this shared culture shock to collectively let go of old patterns and introduce new strategies then this period can turn out to be hugely beneficial”

Reflect in a sentence or two on why this quote had this effect

Being at the beginning of my teaching journey, still getting to grips with teaching and being a lecturer, Corona, rocked the boat for everyone. So, lecturers which were perhaps very much so in their comfort zone, had to adapt to the current situation, some adapted easier than others. But I think it is fair to say it has been a big change for everyone, but it meant I then became part of that problem solving and adaption rather then following suit, what practices were already in place, with very steep learning curves at each tier change.

New tier, New you.

How might it connect to my research, my practice?

From the changes which have been made and the content I deliver, I think online delivery will be here to stay. So, I want to explore and analyse what has worked and what hasn’t worked in my online delivery to develop more online content (live sessions / pre-recorded / interactivity / manual / digital / etc.)

What research # can I give it?
